### **Post-Award Requirements**

#### **Payback Agreement Requirements** - Before offering funds or services, award recipients must conduct a payback meeting with participants. - Participants must enter into a written agreement outlining the terms of their financial assistance and service obligation. - Agreements must detail total training costs, funding received, and a requirement to work in an LEA serving a high proportion of Indian students. - Copies of the agreement must be provided to both the participant and the Department of Education.

#### **Exit Certification** Upon program completion, grantees must provide participants with: - Institution name and grant award number - Number of months required for service-based payback - Total financial assistance received - Participant’s field of study and employment obligations

Participants must then certify in writing that the information is correct.

#### **Career Preparation and Reporting Requirements** - Grantees must assist participants in identifying employment opportunities that fulfill their service obligations. - Annual reporting to the Department of Education is required, documenting participant training and payback compliance.
